Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Good overall but don’t be fooled by the 豆漿, it is bottled instead of fresh like you’d expect."
"If you're searching for an authentic local taste for cart noodles (it literally means noodles served by cart from the old days - 車仔麵), this is it. We recently tried a delightful combination of pork intestine with seaweed and beef noodle soup with a mild spicy kick. The noodles were absolutely delicious, and the soup had the perfect amount of heat I was looking for. I was particularly impressed by the chili paste, which was so good that I ended up purchasing a separate bottle for myself at a cost of 80HKD. The experience was a pleasant surprise and brought back nostalgic memories of my childhood in Hong Kong. For those who enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend trying the mild or medium spicy options for an extra level of flavour. When we visited the shop, it seemed that it had recently opened as they only accepted cash at that time. Note: for native English speakers, use Google translate (camera auto translate function) for ordering. The tickets for ordering only come in Chinese."
"Great Noodles, Friendly Staff, Great Prices, Enough Said!"
"Many choices of food ingredients to be chosen, different type of sauces. Having good songs through the restaurant. Serving is good, waiters are kind and polite. Price is not too expensive."
"Avoid the crowd and taste authentic cart noodles. It's out of the norm touristy area and thus you don't find the usual crowd. Service is very friendly and the taste is as good because they are tailored to the local."
"Hong Kong style cart noodle It's a must try if you're traveling here"
"I visited this noodle shop in Aberdeen Center that seems to be based on a Japanese concept. I entered the restaurant because I saw that it is highly rated on OpenRice, a gourmet app popular in Hong Kong. I noticed that the interior offered seating for four as well as several small tables for one or two people, providing ample space. I also observed that a photo menu board was provided for international travelers. I saw that the topping options were quite extensive, and I chose pork, Bok choy and fried bean stick. I found that there were about eight types of noodles available, and I felt excited to make a selection. I chose the THICK NOODLES (粗麺). I also observed a distinctive noodle type named DEMAE RAMEN(出前一丁). I judged from the photograph that it appeared to be the same Japanese dry noodle of that name. I was served a bowl with a generous amount of food. I noticed that the THICK NOODLES resembled dry tagliatelle and paired well with a soup that I believe was soy sauce–based, making the dish so tasty. I understood that payment was accepted in cash only. I found the noodle restaurant to be very interesting because of the many other topping options available."
"I have been here 2 times with my husband and the food is very tasty."
